We left early on the morning of February 27, 2018. We intended to stay for 8 days, returning late on Wednesday, March 7, 2018. Mother Nature had a good laugh, and we came home on the night of March 6. Our original flight on the 7th was cancelled, I found out from the comfort of my home.
One of SpecialK’s nieces was getting married, and we decided to make a vacation of the days.
As we often do, we rented a place through Airbnb. That means grocery shopping.
We found two new to us gluten free, low carb products there.
I found these baked tortillas. With 3 crackers per pack, they were portion controlled and reasonable for my dietary restrictions.
SpecialK found these sesame treats. We both enjoyed them, and they are low carb. They also had amaranth bars and sunflower seed bars.
Alas, they do not have distribution in the US. I am talking with them, as the US low carb world needs these. With 6.2 g of carbs, and 2.6 g dietary fiber, they would be a great snack for SpecialK when traveling for work. No artificial sweeteners pleases SpecialK, while the protein and low number of net carbs pleases me.
Do you venture into grocery stores when traveling? Have you found any new products you care to share?
